Experience
I tutor GMAT, SAT, and high-school maths to students in and around Amsterdam. My approach to Math is that it is a language. Success depends on knowing the grammar and the vocabulary - a language, with synonyms and dialects and traditions from across the globe and from centuries ago. This facet is too-little emphasized by the conventional curriculum, and this lack of attention is at the root of the Math phobia and misunderstanding, for many students. In my experience of tutoring, it is possible to facilitate an "accelerated re-creation" of the language. My single best achievement is being able to explain the concepts that all successful Mathematicians take for granted, and yet so few know to explain. GMAT courses and SAT courses in Amsterdam may be organized upon request. in-person tutoring rate is €80/hour.
