Heavily involved in European and international projects, concerning inquiry based science education research and innovative methods in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) teaching. Country representative in major efforts world-wide (e.g. Hands-on Universe, Lab of Tomorrow, Connect) focusing on the pedagogical methods in classroom, on the application of new technologies in education, and on alternative student evaluation methods. Coordinated teacher training efforts nation-wide through interactive workshops, distance and on-line training, and feedback seminars. Teaching fellow in Paris, France (1988-1990) and Leiden, The Netherlands (1996-1999), teaching science courses on the elementary and secondary school level. Co-supervised undergraduate students at Yale University (USA 2002-2004), delivered guest lectures and mentored undergraduate students at the National Observatory of Athens (Greece 2005-2008). Professor of science, astronomy, statistics and environment science at all undergraduate programs of City University of Seattle, Athens site (2008-2013).
